You’ve Got A Friend in Me

Toy Story 4 was announced at the Disney Expo a couple weeks ago. I couldn’t be happier as Toy Story is a huge part of my childhood. I am technically the same age as Andy. When he went off to college in the release of Toy Story 3, I also went off to college. We pretty much bros.

Anyway, one of the reasons I am most excited is because John Lasseter is directing the movie. The last movie he directed was Cars 2 (2011), (not the best Pixar film) and before that was Cars (2006). Undoubtably, this will be a great film as Toy Story 1, 2, and 3 were also.

Also, revealed at the Disney Expo was The Good Dinosaur, Finding Dory, Coco, Incredibles 2, and Cars 3. And this is me.

What is ‘R2-D2’ Multiplied By 65.4049231492 Equal?

It equals ANA Airlines’ new Boeing 787  ‘Dreamliner’ that was just unveiled.

starwars1starwars6

R2-D2 measures  3.14961 ft. (I guess someone likes pie). The new R2-D2 themed aircraft measures 206 ft in length, which is 65.4049231492 times the height of the R2-D2 that we know and love.

A couple of guest stars (pun intended) made an appearance at the event Saturday. A fully operational R2-D2 being one of them, and also a moving C-3P0. It really gets you thinking and imagining what a C-3P0 themed plane would look like! And you cannot help but imagine a full Wookiee airplane, or a Darth Vader, blacked out aircraft soaring through the skies.

What Star Wars character are you hoping to see themed on an airplane?  Make sure to check out the videos and pictures below.

7 Ways to Make Your Car Awesome

I am in my car a lot throughout the day. I drive all over the bay area to help customers. Sometimes it’s an hour drive between each job. So I created a list of items to have in, with, or on your car that would help make it awesome.

1. American Flag – Because ‘Merica. What better way to make your car look awesome than to put an American flag on it? This is my car below.

2. Bumper sticker – Now, I am not a fan of bumper stickers. However, I have seen some done in ways that look really nice. Most of them being subtle. Here is a picture of my sister’s brand new Ford Focus with her white bumper sticker on it. It doesn’t pop out at your face. It just blends and looks clean. (Good job, Sis.)

3. Phone Holder – I’ve seen many phone holders in other people’s cars. Some that hang out of air vents and some that clamp on to the phone. But recently, I have discovered a new and amazing kind of phone holder for your car. It is called, “Magic Mount.” I have the suction cup for the window version. It comes with two pieces of very thin metal that go inside of your case (Only one piece goes inside). Then the magnet attaches to the metal and BAM. It’s as easy as that.

4. Napkins – Eventually, something is going to spill or someone is going to sneeze. It is wise to keep a stash of napkins in your glove department. Because we all know you’re not keeping gloves in there.

5. Music – Is a great thing if you have guests in your car and don’t have much conversation going. I like to keep a Disney playlist for those moments. I feel that it connects with most people’s childhood and almost everyone can relate.

6. Phone Chargers – The more the merrier.

7. Mints/Gum – This gives you something to offer your guests. Everyone loves the person with a mint or gum.

What is something that I left out? Don’t hesitate to yell at me.

Pokemon Has Come to Reality

Well, not entirely. But, yesterday there was a Pokemon press conference and it was pretty epic. Coming in 2016 is a new App for your phone, Pokemon Go. What is that? I’m glad you asked. Here is a video that explains it. Kinda.

If you didn’t watch the video, its a game that brings Pokemon to virtual reality through our phones. You can wander around your house and find Pokemon to catch, fight, or even battle and trade with a friend. Just like the video game but in a more social way.

They also created a device called Pokemon Go Plus. This device syncs with your phone via bluetooth and basically alerts you when a Pokemon is near or something is happening close to you (a battle or something) without looking at your phone.

Did you play Pokemon as a kid? If not, I’m sorry I wasted your time writing this.

One Step Closer to Harry Potter Newspapers

You heard it here last folks. Yesterday, at the Apple Event, they released a new feature called Live Photos. It captures 1.5-3 seconds of photos and plays them back like a .gif file. A cool feature of that feature is setting the image as your lock screen saver and using 3D touch to play it while your phone is locked.

Yeah, its gimmicky, but it’s still one step closer to Harry Potter newspapers.

3 Ways to Make Your Desk Awesome

So you’re bored with your desk and you want something to spark creativity or a desire to actually get something done. Well, I don’t know if these will help with that but you can try.

First, try something that has life. Literally. Like a beta fish or a plant. It makes the stack of papers and desk utilities look a little better. Here is a picture of my desk. I just recently adopted this beta (Kuzco). Along with Kuzco, I got a small live plant and a Crush from Finding Nemo ornament.

Secondly, a nicknack (or a lot of them). It could be a simple as an action figure or a model car. Something that tells a little about what you like or what interests you. John Lasseter (Chief Creative Officer of Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and DisneyToon Studios) has not just a few but hundreds of nicknacks. Most of which are characters he created.

Lastly, Guns. Lots of Guns.

Darth Vader’s Guide to Chick-Fil-A

I am a huge fan of Chick-Fil-A. I eat there as often as I can because what if I die tomorrow? I would want Chick-Fil-A to be in my stomach. My order just about every time is 8-count chicken nugget with a large fry and (recently) Frosted Lemonade. But… What would Darth Vader order?

I have no doubt that it would be a spicy chicken sandwich with a large fry. But for a beverage I feel like he would throw a curve ball and order a diet coke or something like that.

What would R2-D2 order though?

How to be Techy

Being “techy” is not hard. It is simply, knowing what the latest technology is and how to use it. When you know what the latest technology is and how to use it, you can talk about it and bam. You are now considered techy. There are different levels of techy, technically. The basic level is what majority of people are. General knowledge of technology. Then there are hardcore nerds that know about the technology used to create the technology we think is cool. If that makes any sense.

So you want to be techy. Here are some general technology websites that will educate you on what is going on in the tech world. I will list them in order of most general tech to “OK this is kinda nerdy.”

Side note: When you find a subject you have a great interest in, say building computers, YouTube is a great place to learn how to look deeper into specific tech stuff. From review videos to How To videos, you are sure to find what you want.

If I left out any good tech websites, be sure to let me know!

Disneyland vs. Disney World in Size

I have never been to Disney World, but I have attended Disneyland many times. I love the weather, the happy atmosphere (with the exception of screaming children), the overpriced food (that tastes great), and walking through the different themed areas. I was playing with Google Maps recently and looked up Disneyland. Then I looked up Disney World. This is what I got.

Disney World is huge.
